NMBW Mural Festival - Plein Air Workshop

  • Neil McDougall Park 18 Ley Street Como, WA, 6152 Australia (map)

Join the NMBW Festival - Plein Air Workshop and paint outdoors with cool tips and vibes!

Spend the morning immersed in creativity at our Plein Air Workshop with James Giddy, presented as part of the 2026 City of South Perth No More Blank Walls Mural Festival.

This guided outdoor painting session invites participants to slow down, observe their surroundings, and respond creatively to the landscape and atmosphere around them. Working in an open-air setting, participants will explore the fundamentals of plein air painting through direct observation, composition, and colour in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Suitable for beginners through to more experienced makers, this workshop is designed to encourage creativity, connection to place, and confidence in creating outdoors. Whether you are trying painting for the first time or looking to reconnect with your practice in a fresh setting, all participants are welcome.

A limited number of 25 plein air painting kits will be available on the day, and participants are also welcome to bring their own materials.
