Join us for the official launch of the 2026 City of South Perth No More Blank Walls Festival.
Taking place on the High Street at Village Green, Karawara, this family-friendly outdoor activation will bring together live mural painting, music, art, kids’ activities, food and drinks, and community connection in one vibrant opening event.
At the centre of the program is a live art battle, where an international artist and a local artist go head-to-head in a large-scale, time-based creative showdown. Across four hours of live painting, audiences will be able to watch the works unfold in real time, guided by an MC and surrounded by an afternoon of music, performances, and festival atmosphere.
The event will also include an official welcome and speeches from key representatives involved in the festival, including speakers from the City of South PerthMayor, and the Blank Walls Directors, helping formally open the event and mark the beginning of the 2026 festival program.
Alongside the live battle, the event will feature live DJs, hip-hop performances, a Varsity pop-up bar, and a paint-by-numbers mural wall hosted by an artist, giving the public a chance to get hands-on and contribute to the creative energy of the day. Youth’ activities provided by Village Green Shopping Centre will also help make this a welcoming event for families and the wider community.
This street party will kick off the festival in style in a public celebration of creativity, connection, and place, designed to invite the community into the festival from day one.
